The attractiveness of the Village of Eagle to a commuter population will increase in the future due to the planned upgrade of U.S. Highway 34, from a two-lane rural highway to a four-lane expressway. The development of this highway into an expressway is anticipated to have a positive effect on the community, both in terms of income and employment opportunities and housing development activities. Highway 43 also runs out of Eagle providing quick access to Highway 2. Interstate 80 is located just a few miles north of Eagle on Highway 63.
