VILLAGE OF EAGLE

The Village Board of Trustees met in regular session at 7:00 p.m. on May 21, 2018 with Moore, Young, Schukei, Meier and LeFrois present. The Agenda items listed thereon were sufficiently descriptive to give the public reasonable notice of the matters to be considered at the meeting. The Chair, at the beginning of the meeting, informed the public about the location of the posted current copy of the Open Meetings Act. Chairperson Moore named the three (3) areas where the agenda was posted as follows: Village Clerk’s Office, Eagle Fire & Rescue Department and Eagle State Bank.
Open Forum – John Surman (450 Eagle Dr.) recommended tightening up the rules on pool passes to prevent unauthorized patrons from using a paying customer’s pool pass identification number. Moore said the Pool Board will discuss this concern with the Pool Manager.
Motion by Schukei, second by Meier, to approve Rainbow Fireworks’ display at the Eagle Community Park during Eagle Day on June 23, 2018. Voting: Ayes – 5. Motion carried.
Motion by Meier, second by Moore, to approve the purchase of a 20’ x 12’ hanging cantilever shade for the Eagle Pool from Kirby Built in the amount of $3,832.49. Voting: Ayes – 5. Motion carried.
Motion by Meier, second by Young, to approve the purchase of two 8’ park benches for the Eagle Pool from Summit Supply at a total cost not to exceed $2,000.00. Voting: Ayes – 5. Motion carried.
Motion by Schukei, second by Moore, to approve purchase of Bison volleyball nets and boundary kits for the park from Nebraska Sports in the amount of $955.50. Voting: Ayes – 5. Motion carried.
Motion by Young, second by Meier, to authorize the Board Chairperson to apply for a mini-grant through Keep Cass County Beautiful. Voting: Ayes – 5. Motion carried.
Motion by Young, second by Schukei, to approve minutes as typed for the previous meeting. Voting: Ayes – 5. Motion carried.
