Where were the sirens Monday evening?

I watched the storms come through.  I saw that we were under a tornado warning.  I never heard the sirens.  I take that back.  They did go off after the first tornado went through.  After.  Was it a problem with the equipment, communication or personel?  This happened a few years ago as well.  It was brought up at that time that our sirens should go off as a Warning.  This gives people adequate time to find shelter.  You can't wait till it's here or you are watching the tornado.  Not everyone has a basement they can use and have to find shelter.  They need time to do this.  I hope this is being looked into.

The damage around Eagle and the surrounding areas is pretty extensive.  We are all lucky that the injuries weren't any worse or more people hurt.  My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected.  I saw so many neighbors, friends and family helping each other right away.  Our community really pulled together in our time of need.  I hope it continues as the work continues.  I for one am really counting my blessings!
