Eagle Elementary First Grade Field Trip to Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo!

I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to join Eagle Elementary first graders on a field trip to the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo last Thursday, April 30.  We lucked out on the weather.  It lightly rained on us at the very beginning of the trip.  The rest of the trip was dry and cool!

We tried to squeeze as many animals as we could in the time we were there.  The kids really kept us moving so we got to see quit a bit!

Sara Martin had the kids use sidewalk chalk to draw pictures from a book they had read together.  The kids split into groups and each drew a picture that when put together made a scene from the book.  Very fun!
