Eagle Garage Sales
I opened up the garage door at 6:30am. There were people already finding parking places! I don't know about you, but it did seem slower this year. I don't know if the threat of rain kept people away or what. We were pretty busy though regardless.
My husband says Eagle Garage Sales are just neighbors trading "stuff". I have to admit I sold most everything I wanted to get rid of and I did find a few good bargains myself!
All in all I thought it was successful. My daughter Claire sold Eagle PTE Cookbooks still raising money for the new playground fund.
We also had a sign up sheet for volunteers for Eagle Days! Lots of people took a brochure and said they couldn't wait to come back!
My neighbor Georgia (Or Juice Box) came over to help out!

We even got a birthday celebration in! Mason turned 4 years old on Saturday, June 6th! Yes, four years ago garage sale weekend was a very long weekend!
Rescue call during Eagle Garage Sales
There was a rescue call up the in the heights during Eagle Garage Sales this year. I have always thought this would be the worst time to have a rescue call and have thought we have been pretty lucky not to have had one.
I have to say though that the Rescue Squad did a fabulous job of getting to the house in a timely manner, getting treatment to the patient and then getting the ambulance out to the highway.
Thank you for your professionalism during this busy time for Eagle. It spoke volumes for our entire town.
You have probably seen the side box asking for volunteers for Eagle Fun Days (which is just around the corner!)on this website. To go along with that, Eagle Vision is in need of volunteers to help work at the firework tent located in front of the Corner Cafe. This is a Great fundraising opportunity but needs a lot of volunteers to make it work. All funds go to Eagle Vision to help support our FABULOUS Fun Day! New Bathrooms coming to Eagle Park!
If it's been a while since you have been down to the park you may have noticed a new building. The new bathrooms should be done soon!
