Swim Lessons have begun!
Swim lessons began on Monday and I envied the kids in the pool! At least the heat will start warming the water. Ms. Maul the pool manager, told me the temp had raised 7 degrees just that morning.
The lifeguards did well being patient and observant in teaching the kids the basics about safety and then on to swim lessons. For those too little to reach the bottom in the big pool, they enjoyed getting to splash and play in the wading pool.
Ealge Food Pantry in Need of Help
The Eagle Food Pantry needs our help. There is currently a large increase in the number of families in our community that are in need of help from the Food Pantry on a weekly basis.
The Food Pantry shelves are in need of the following items:
· Hygiene Products (deodorants, feminine products, etc.)
· Diapers
· First Aid Items
· Dish Soap
· Laundry Detergent
· Cleaning Supplies
Families can not purchase these items with food stamps; when these items are donated, they run out fast. Imagine not having diapers for your baby, a band-aid for your toddler, or feminine products for yourself.
Firework Stands to begin June 28th!
See how you can help!
There are two great community groups that are in need of volunteers to help run the fireworks stand June 28th through July 4th. Many of you already work with these programs in one way or another. Our community as a whole benefits from the work done by both of these organizations.
Unfortunately, due to the lack of volunteers, those that do help end up working many shifts. While I understand there are summer vacations and other commitments I encourage you to do what you can to volunteer.
To Volunteer for EagleVison Firework stand:
- Call Rhonda Halvorsen (cell) 430-1193 or Cafe 781-2333
To Volunteer for Alvo/Eagle Rec Firework stand:
- go to the website to fill out the survey with your availability www.eteamz.active.com/aerec (click on 'Fireworks Survey')
- Call Tracie Dunavin at 310-5270
I am calling on all Eagle residents, kids, parents, grandparents, friends and family!
If you go to any Eagle youth ball games, please send me your thoughts, your pictures and your observations!
I would love to share these experiences with the rest of our community.
Thank you,
Terra Westerholt

You have probably seen the side box asking for volunteers for Eagle Fun Days (which is just around the corner!) on this website. To go along with that, Eagle Vision is in need of volunteers to help work at the firework tent located in front of the Corner Cafe. This is a Great fundraising opportunity but needs a lot of volunteers to make it work. All funds go to Eagle Vision to help support our FABULOUS Fun Day! Please, call Rhonda Halvorsen to get signed up (or sign up online )! Rhonda Halvorsen (cell) 430-1193 or Cafe 781-2333.
