Happy 4th of July!
The neighbors, friends and families on Applewood Drive held their 4th Annual Applewood Block Party. It got started a bit late as it looked like rain. Once we got the tables set up though Fun was had by all! We started the day off with some ribs and snack food. The kids games followed. It was a bit chilly for the water games but the kids really didn't seem to mind. There was way too much food! I didn't even get to try half of it. After some homemade ice cream and dessert we set up for the firework dislplay. This was our biggest group of friends yet. Each year our group grows and we have even more fun!
Ealge Food Pantry in Need of Help
The Eagle Food Pantry needs our help. There is currently a large increase in the number of families in our community that are in need of help from the Food Pantry on a weekly basis.
The Food Pantry shelves are in need of the following items:
· Hygiene Products (deodorants, feminine products, etc.)
· Diapers
· First Aid Items
· Dish Soap
· Laundry Detergent
· Cleaning Supplies
Families can not purchase these items with food stamps; when these items are donated, they run out fast. Imagine not having diapers for your baby, a band-aid for your toddler, or feminine products for yourself.
Tournaments are here!
I am calling on all Eagle residents, kids, parents, grandparents, friends and family!
If you go to any Eagle youth ball games, please send me your thoughts, your pictures and your observations!
I would love to share these experiences with the rest of our community.
Thank you,
Terra Westerholt
