Second Session Swim Lessons are on the last week.

Summer is coming to an end but the schedules are not!  This week the second session of swim lessons at the Eagle Pool are over.  Summer session at Eagle Elementary school is beginning.  The PTE is finishing up with the playground before the Ribbon Cutting, August 4th, prior to the Back To School Bash.

Whew!  Then you add in your regular schedule and what a work out!

The water was chilly to begin the last week of swim lessons but the air was even cooler.  The kids were all troopers though and listened to directions and tried their best to learn new strokes.  Their instructors though just as cold,  were patient and made sure everyone was having fun.

The children will continue this week to learn what they can and wait expectantly to see if they pass to the next level for next year.

Summer Session at Eagle Elementary begins this week.

Summer Session at Eagle Elementary begins this week.  It seems like most of the children are excited to be there!  Kudos to the teachers working this session that keep that excitement there!

While they are working on getting back into the swing of school they are also having a great time.  I have noticed that the excitment is coming home as well.  Now my kids are even excited about the school supply shopping and getting back to the friends they missed over the summer.

While I am going to miss my children, I am very excited that school is starting as well!

Ealge Food Pantry in Need of Help

The Eagle Food Pantry needs our help.  There is currently a large increase in the number of families in our community that are in need of help from the Food Pantry on a weekly basis.

The Food Pantry shelves are in need of the following items:

·        Hygiene Products (deodorants, feminine products, etc.)

·        Diapers

·        First Aid Items

·        Dish Soap

·        Laundry Detergent

·        Cleaning Supplies

Families can not purchase these items with food stamps; when these items are donated, they run out fast.  Imagine not having diapers for your baby, a band-aid for your toddler, or feminine products for yourself.

Any items purchased for the Food Bank can be dropped off at Eagle Bank.  You can also make a donation at the bank.  The cash that is donated is used to purchase gift certificates at Lou's for perishable items such as milk, eggs, cheese, ect.

If you have any questions feel free to contact GeoAnn Reynoldson at (402) 781-2636 or (402) 580-0960.
