Scholastic Book Fair at Eagle Elementary
The Scholastic Book Fair will be at Eagle Elementary this week. Your children have the opportunity to buy carefully selected books and products at affordable prices while the proceeds from this event will benefit our school in helping to purchase more books for the library.

Thefts in Eagle
I have run a story on vandalism in Eagle and now it seems we also have a theft issue. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to ride your bike around town, when you get home put it in your yard or up by your door and use it again? That's what most of us would like to think.
Unfortunatly, that's not what happened to one of our residents. She had been training for a trail ride and left her bike by her front door. When she came back out it was gone. She has called the Cass County Sheriff and looked around town but has not found it. Her bike is a 24 inch red, black and silver mongoose woman's bike with bottle holder and new gel seat. Has no scratches only ridden maybe 10 times. Went missing from her front step Friday 9/11 pm. From parkview street.
Several bikes have been taken from little kids in Eagle as well. They are either dumped or vandalized and dumped in and around the Eagle park. Please, keep your eyes and ears open. Call the Sheriffs office if you hear or see anything that will help locate these bikes.
I have recently found out that the vandalism I have talked about prior has cost our village over $4000! That would have gone a long way to redoing our basketball courts. Talk to your kids....please! I am happy to say that the village has put camera's up around the park area to help with this problem.
