Needs your help!
An Eagle resident that recently passed away. Her family had asked that her funeral be held at Eagle Elementary School. Due the amount of people attending a larger building than the church was needed. Their request was denied by the school board because of a recently passed by law.
Eagle United Methodist Church has requested a meeting with the school board to discuss this change in policy and see what they can do to change it to better fit the needs of this community. The change that took place does not effect a larger community as much as a smaller one like Eagle.
The school board recently made comments that they would like to support the community using the school as much as possible within reason as it is those members of the community that will be voting on important bond issues for the school and the district as a whole.
Eagle United Methodist Church is urging the community members to attend this meeting so that you can have input on this policy. You can also contact any of the board members directly if you are unable to attend the meeting.
The meeting will take place, August 2nd, 7 p.m. at the Administration Building just west of the Intermediate School.

The Confidentials, one of the region's premier party bands will bring their soulful blend of funk, jazz and reggae to Sumtur Amphitheater on Aug. 20th for an evening of singing, dancing and a rockin' good time! The band will be performing at a benefit concert for the Veterans Memorial planned for the campus of the Eastern Nebraska Veterans Home in Bellevue. The whole town is invited, so this is a party you won't want to miss!
When: Aug. 20, 2010. Gates open at 6pm. The concert begins at 7pm.
