The students got to view exhibits and talk to displayers who brought memorabilia. This was a great way to experience through those who were actually there.

The Veterans Day Program began with a Presentation of Flags by the Eagle Boy Scouts. They then led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Mrs. Lindquist then led everyone in the Star Spangled Banner.
Eagle Elementary had held an Essay contest titled "What Makes a Hero". There were four winners:
5th Grade: Justin Hennessy, Melissa Bigsby, and Loryn Stroh
Mrs. Karla Nagengast was the honored guest speaker. She did a fabulous job of explaining her role n the military. She was able to keep the kids attention by giving interesting details of what life as like while she was serving.
The program closed with a wonderful show directed by Mrs. Lindquist, given by the 4th and 5th grade choir.
As I get older I find that I get more emotional. I get really choked up every time I hear the Pledge of Allegiance and The Star Spangled Banner. Life goes too fast. I teared up through the whole program and felt my heart strings pull as I thought about everything those who serve in the military give
up for our freedom. I want to Thank You All for my freedom and the freedom of my family. We enjoy the life we do because of what you have done and are continuing to do everyday. Thank you.
Eagle PTE did a Fabulous job of putting together a fun filled night for everyone! The food was good and the "Live Auction" done by a real auctioneer was really fun! There were a lot of great items up for grabs and many people got some wonderful deals.
As always, the baskets were a great hit. The kids love hearing their names called out.
The teens doing the face painting did great job too. There were a lot of very creative faces walking around.
Also new this year was the live band. They did a great job of getting the kids involved by letting them play tamborines along with the music. The kids spent some of their energy dancing to music!
Thank you all for a great night!
