Eagle had two busy moms step up to become Girls Scout leaders so that we have a troop in our area again! Big Thank You to Heather Meehan and Chris Cummings! The girls have had two meetings now and just finished up with individual cookie sales. They will be delivering their cookies and collecting payment at the end of February/beginning of March. They also plan on trying to sell cookies as a troop in and around the Eagle area. If there are business owners in Eagle who would be willing to host some time for the Girl Scouts to sell cookies in or in front of your business please email editor@eaglenebraska.com and I will pass the information on to the Girl Scout leaders!
Parent/Teacher conferences are here again! Eagle Elementary PTE will be providing babysitting during these conferences. Please contact Karla Nagengast if you would be able to help out by volunteering at the babysitting area!
I am still looking for discussion on the parking situation at Eagle Elementary both before and after school. To start off: I have noticed that there seems to be a back up of cars when a car pulls up the curb to drop off or pick up and they don't pull up all the way but stop in the curve. Then people have to try and back up while others try and go around which then blocks the drive for those that are already done. This seems to betting worse. What do you think? What are your ideas? Please let me know at editor@eaglenebraska.com
Our horse, Freedom, is a 15 year old sorrel mare that we are retiring due to an injury and we have decided to offer her for adoption into a good home only. She can be ridden lightly in western pleasure (walk/trot only - no cantering). She is a smart, beautiful, gentle horse and would make a nice pasture buddy. If you're interested please contact Renae at 402-474-7508 or renaeoestmann@windstream.net to obtain more details. We would prefer she go to a family that has experience with horses. Thank you.
